Method and Stack, Hand in Hand at With Intelligence

· With Intelligence

With Intelligence is a private-markets data and intelligence business, serving ~3,000 customers across the institutional investment world — acquired by S&P Global for $1.8bn in November 2025, from a group led by Motive Partners. I worked with the team well before that outcome, on the unglamorous discipline underneath it: how the AEs and BDRs actually sold, day to day.

The brief had two halves, and I ran them together rather than in sequence. The first was training — sitting with account executives and business development reps on how they qualified, how they framed the narrative for a sophisticated buyer, and how they sequenced a complex sale rather than rushing it. The second was the stack: wiring LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay and Lemlist into a system that supported that method instead of working against it, so the discipline the team learned in training showed up in what they actually did inside the tools every day.

That pairing is the whole argument. Training without a stack that reflects it decays within a quarter. A stack without trained judgement behind it just moves the same mistakes faster. Method and tooling had to move together, or neither would hold.

“Alex understood our complex buyer landscape from day one. He built an outbound engine that actually reached the right people with the right message — something we'd struggled with for months.” — Robert Jay, CMO, With Intelligence
